Judy Heald,
Building Management Volunteer

Judy studied at Sheffield Hallam University, acquiring an HND in Business Property Management, a BSc in Property Studies, and a BSc in Building Surveying. Within a short space of time at the university Judy realised she had a huge passion for sustainability, a topic that she hadn’t really discovered prior to attending university. She quickly began to tailor all her work toward sustainability and low impact construction.

After graduating Judy divided her time between being a landlord/property management, and doing free-lance design work and structural calculations.

For the past 3 years Judy has been working on designing an eco-house with a low embodied Co2, meeting passive house standards and encompassing a permaculture food production setting. Currently Judy continues to focus on planning law with the intention of being granted planning permission to build the house for her and her young family in the near future.
